A beautiful bohemian baby sip and see for Gorgeous Mama T and baby boy Jude♥

I had the honor to co-host this shower with a group my amazing friends and it turned out completely perfect! As soon as our friend blessed us all with the wonderful news she was expecting her 3rd baby- I know – look how beautiful she is♥ I knew instantly that the shower was going to be a play on midsummer nights dream meets boho chic meets organic. I always try to style the party to match the characteristics of the special person that is being celebrated. Obviously it can work gender neutral and you can add designating colors if you prefer. I loved these neutrals colors with the pop of aubergine. My friend wanted to do the flowers because she enjoys it and the direction she took was really fitting for the theme…lots of Eucalyptus leaves and branches adorned the table and I  used the branches as a runner down the entire table made of palettes.

I really wanted the event to feel like we were in the forest in the middle of nowhere under candle light -super hippy dippy! Palettes were a great alternative to the standard tables and chairs. (def not easy to get there/grateful to the hubbies that helped) They are achievable but make sure you find ones that are all the same size, we used 10 total {5 sets of 2}. I also used different sized Palettes layered for the food table.

The key to a party like this is layers, layers and more layers……loads of pillows, blankets, rugs and poufs.

In my SHOP MY PARTY below I listed tons of fun items that can help you host your own boho chic party . I can tell you that I got my stripe pillows from IKEA as well as the black, grey and aubergine ones. Most of them were 5 dollars for the covers and 5$ for the inserts. I did use some of my personal house pillows just to add more seats. The fur taupe rugs were purchased from Costco and are literally there right now in 3 colors(taupe/cream/brown) and are around 100 dollars. I also got the jute poufs from IKEA as well. I also bought the Jute rug and herringbone rug at my local HOMEGOODS. The indie pattern  chiffon tablecloth is 5 yards of fabric from Joanns and was just spectacular in person! Vases were also a mixture of West Elm-sale, IKEA, Hobby Lobby and Homegoods.(everything gold obvi)

So 2 things you must know about me is that I love thrift stores and dollar stores for party stuff. Thrift stores are great for thing like old trays, fabrics and chachkeys-like brass candlestick holders. The dollar store is great for stemware and sometimes plates—YES thats right plates. It is so worth it to spend 30 bucks on 30 real plates as opposed to 20 bucks on plastic stuff. The place setting is the most important part of the table in my opinion because its the one thing that you have to stare at the entire time you are seated. Adding a little menu or special note on every place setting really anchors down the table scape! I added special little notes for the baby with a little matching aubergine feather!

I made the flower crown (which is a requirement for any boho party!) out of left over flowers and some very thin floral wire -took me a total of 15 minutes and very easy.

Once dusk hit we lit the candles(IKEA) broke open the champs/wine and had an amazing time laughing and just hanging out as girlfriends do! I was so lucky to have been able to be a part of such a beautiful day with such beautiful women! xoxoxoxo♥
